Timers

Timers: automatic chat messages on a schedule

Post reminders about your socials, schedule and rules without spamming an empty chat.

Timers that do not spam an empty chat

Timers post messages to chat automatically. A Twir timer fires only when two conditions are met: the set number of minutes has passed and enough messages have been sent in chat since the last post. This way the bot never floods a quiet chat.

A timer can have several responses that are posted in turn, and responses support the same variables as commands. Use timers for social links, a stream schedule, rules, Discord invites or reminders about commands.

How to create a timer

  1. Open Timers

Log in to Twir and open the Timers page in the dashboard.

  2. Write messages

Add one or more responses and use variables if you need them.

  3. Set the interval

Choose the interval in minutes and the number of chat messages, then save.
